Adipex-P
Adipex (phentermine) is an anti-obesity agent intended for the treatment of this condition in people who also have other diseases, such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Make sure you inform your health care provider of the fact of taking any of the following medications, as they may potentially interfere with the effects of Adipex: oral diabetes drugs, clomipramine, oral insulin medications, imipramine, fluvoxamine, protriptyline, escitalopram, fluoxetine, high blood pressure medications, amoxapine, nortriptyline, sertraline, trimipramine, paroxetine, amitriptyline, doxepin, and desipramine. This list is not complete, as there are many other drugs that may potentially cause interference. If you are not sure about the name of the medicine you are taking at the moment – you can always use the help of your pharmacist or an online pill identifier. Do not start taking any other drugs if you are already on Adipex, especially if you are going to use some other diet pills. Mild side effects are possible at the beginning of the treatment while your body is adjusting to the dose prescribed. The following ones are most common, although they tend to go away pretty soon without any special treatment: nervousness, dizziness, diarrhea, trouble sleeping, headache, dry mouth, constipation, and itching. However, you need to be aware of the possibility of developing more serious side effects. Usually this has to do with the fact you did not discuss something important with your doctor or combined Adipex with another medication you were not supposed to combine it with. The following symptoms need to be reported to your doctor as soon as possible: confusion, shortness of breath, uneven heartbeat, swelling, rapid weight gain, unusual thoughts, restlessness, and unusual behavior. Any health conditions or states you have or used to have need to be reported to your doctor before you ask him for a prescription, as they may be important in determining the dose you need to treat the symptoms you have more effectively. You must mention the fact of having an overactive thyroid, anxiety disorder, seizure disorder, agitation, arteriosclerosis, glaucoma, heart disease, a thyroid disorder, high blood pressure, a history of drug or alcohol abuse, or diabetes to make sure you get all the benefits of your treatment.
